Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to have my camera on?
Yes. We try to make this experience as similar to an in-person group as possible, which means making your face visible. No one wants to speak vulnerable things into a void of black rectangles! This also helps to ensure confidentiality by allowing group members to see that there are no other visible people in other people’s spaces. We do, however, understand that people may wish to turn off their cameras during mindfulness practices, yoga practices, or movement practices in order to help them be more present.
Do I have to use my real name on screen?
Yes–your legal first name or your preferred name–but you don’t need to use your full name.
What if I know someone in the group?
If you discover that you know someone in the group and you are not comfortable proceeding, you will be free to discontinue the group and will be refunded for any remaining sessions.
Will sessions be recorded?
No. This is not a class–it is an therapeutic and educational group. As such, no recordings of any sessions will take place. Attendance of all sessions is encouraged in order for you to get the most benefit from the experience.
Can I use my benefits?
Yes! Erin is a Registered Psychologist who can direct bill to most plans (including SunLife).
Is subsidy available?
Yes, Kate is an approved provider with the Lethbridge counselling subsidy–for Lethbridge residents with low income. Check your eligibility at the Lethbridge ICA website and reach out to Kate to apply.
What past participants are saying:
This group was useful and I think will help me in the long run dismantling myths and expectations around women and sex.
Learning mindfulness has been VERY impactful for my mental wellness.
I learned that I’m not broken. It was really healing to learn that.
I learned more about what works for me and how to tell it to my partner about it!
It was nice to have a space and normalize some of the experiences I was having. I want to bring more of those conversations into my life.
I think the most impactful thing I got from group was that I should never place my pleasure second and that I need to take more time for self-pleasure.
I learned a ton–in general and about myself. The model of the female sexual response cycle was very impactful and gave me lots to think about.
I loved the open and honest approach and all the resources.

- and many more!
