Many women express apathy, distaste, disgust, or even horror about the topic of porn, partially because the only porn they’ve seen has been made by men for men. Those videos may include aggression or sexual behaviours that don’t arouse women (or that make them uncomfortable). However, that’s not the only porn available! Porn made for women exists, and porn made by women exists. If you want to check it out, here are some options.

Ethical Porn

  • MakeLoveNotPorn – amateur porn made by people like you and me. Users can watch other people’s videos or submit their own. It’s free to join and see previews but you do pay if you want to see full videos.
  • Erika Lust (director): From the website: “the actors have very diverse looks, ethnicities and body types. She usually has people sending in their fantasy and she makes a film out of it.”
  • Frolicme: “A platform of beautiful erotica, offering ethically produced erotic films, videos, erotic stories, audio porn, beautiful photographic galleries, and online magazine all focused on female pleasure, healthy sexuality and wellbeing.”
  • PinkLabel.TV: “Where feminist porn, female and queer-made indie porn, and hard-to-find explicit art coexist.”

Reddit

  • r/softcorenights – From the website: “A NSFW subreddit of video clips from late night softcore porn films. (Cinemax aka Skinemax, Showtime, Baby Blue Films, etc.)” Rules for posting include:
    • Videos submitted must be softcore: “Like the films on Cinemax, videos should be sex scenes for a hetero audience that are either simulated or are edited to not show explicit elements.”
    • Sex scenes need to be passionate and consensual.
    • No pop-ups, spyware, download links. Streaming videos only.
  • r/chickflixxx – “A place for women to confer & enjoy pornography together. Men are asked to please refrain from commenting or posting.” Reddit is a place where people share things they’ve found, so this forum was created as a place for women to share the porn they like. There’s no guarantee that the people posting are women, so take it with a grain of salt.

Porn for Women categories on popular porn sites

  • There are “porn for women” categories on PornHub and RedTube and similar sites, but they aren’t my top recommendations based on the videos I’ve seen. Even Bellesa.co (“Porn by women”) has a a male-centred vibe. However, if you’re a woman who likes these videos (or porn made for men), there’s nothing wrong with you–but you’ve already found your porn, so you don’t necessarily need this webpage!
