As a counsellor, I offer online therapy, support, and guidance for a variety of common mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, and stress. However, I have a particular passion for working with women who experience sexual concerns or difficulties, including low sexual desire, orgasm difficulties, and painful sex.
One of my goals as a therapist is to become a certified sex therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). In fact, my final project in my master’s degree program was a guide for women seeking help for sexual dysfunction. I believe that sexuality is an important part of overall wellness, and I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve a healthy and fulfilling sex life.
I have found that my counselling practice has been focusing more and more on women’s sexual issues, particularly low sexual desire. I understand that this can be a challenging topic to discuss, but I provide a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients can feel comfortable exploring their concerns.
In addition to my work with sexual concerns, I also enjoy working with current and former members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am kink-friendly and poly-friendly, and I believe that everyone deserves to feel validated and accepted for who they are.
To help my clients achieve their goals, I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques. Sometimes, sex education may also be necessary, as understanding the mechanics of sex and how our bodies work can be helpful in addressing sexual difficulties.
Overall, my goal as a counsellor is to help my clients achieve a fulfilling and satisfying life, both inside and outside the bedroom. I am committed to providing a supportive and understanding environment where my clients can feel comfortable discussing their concerns and working toward their goals.
